Dan and Gav complete epic cycle challenge

TWO men who cycled over 1100 miles in aid of a Dumfries community trust have raised over £4300.

Queen of the South’s Dan Armstrong and physio Gavin Lee cycled from Lands’ End to John o’Groats. Their aim was to raise cash for Queen of the South Community Trust which makes football more accessible for children locally.

The dynamic duo arrived at their final destination in John O’Groats earlier after a mammoth ten-day ride.

It was a tough ride for both Dan and Gavin, but they stuck together and pulled each through. They have raised £4395.

A Queen of the South spokesman said: “It’s a fantastic achievement in itself but also an amazing way to raise money for the Community Trust charity.”
