Bike tour boost

THE Solway Vehicle Enthusiasts Club has donated £150 to local participants in the Police Unity Tour 2021, which starts today (Thurs).

Its aim is to raise awareness of law enforcement officers who have died in the line of duty, as well as raise funds for Care of Police Survivors (COPS) charity.

This week a group of cyclists including nine retired, serving and police dependents from Dumfries and Galloway, will set off from Gretna to travel to the National Memorial Arboretum in Staffordshire where they will meet similar chapters from around the country before attending a memorial service on Sunday.
