Another festival cancelled

A BRAND new music festival for Annandale has been cancelled due to the coronavirus outbreak.

Springkell Live was due to be held for the first time ever in Eaglesfield at the end of June. However, the organisers today announced its cancellation.

In a statement, they said: “Following the extended guidelines set out by the Scottish and UK Governments, we are sorry to announce that Springkell Live 2020 cannot go ahead in June as planned. We are disappointed but the health and safety of everyone concerned is of primary importance.

“Any inaugural event is a challenge, and we are still determined to make Springkell Live happen once the current crisis is over. We will explain our alternative plans early next week.

“Once again we would like to express our sincere thanks to those who have bought tickets and supported us so far. We are sure you’ll understand that with only six weeks to go this was our only choice.”
