A7 closed following crash

The crash occured shortly before 4 pm at the entrance to Cochranes Nursery, just north of the Longtown Bridge, and involved a Mercedes car and a motorcycle. One casualty received extensive treatment at the scene before being taken to hospital by air ambulance Cumbria Police have asked motorists to avoid the area and find alternative routes.
