£5k power tool theft

POWER tools worth £5000 have been stolen from a building site at Dalbeattie High School.

The chop saw, laser levels, a hammer gun, screw guns, nail guns and impact drivers were taken from a secure unit on the site in Haugh Road overnight last Friday to Saturday.
Police are investigating and PC Courtney Richards said: “This was quite a haul and it appears that those responsible were well aware of what it was they were after.
“We are keen to hear from anyone who may have been in the vicinity of the building site at Dalbeattie High School on Friday evening, early Saturday morning, and who may have seen or heard something suspicious.”
Anyone with any information which might help catch those responsible should call 101, or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
