Pub assault victim dies

A MAN who was brutally attacked in a Lockerbie night-spot has died after three weeks in hospital.

Police say 33-year-old Rafal Sieja from Beattock died on Saturday, July 27.

He was injured on a night out at Lockerbie’s Black Bull pub on Station Road on July 5.

He was taken to Dumfries and Galloway Royal Infirmary for emergency treatment before being transferred to Edinburgh’s Western General Hospital, where he passed away.

The Procurator Fiscal has been informed.
