Man assaulted after Langholm disturbance

Police say a disturbance happened near the town centre Loon Chen Chinese food outlet around 10.45 pm on Sunday. A spokesman for Police Scotland said: "Approximately five persons were involved in the disturbance after which a 50-year-old male was assaulted and knocked to the ground. "As a result of the assault the male was conveyed by ambulance to the Cumberland Infirmary and treated for minor soft tissue damage to his face and head."
