Trains between Carlisle and Dumfries cancelled due to cows on the track

TRAINS between Carlisle and Dumfries are currently suspended due to cows on the track near Eastriggs. Posting on X, ScotRail said: "Our 08:54 Carlisle to Dumfries service has come to a stand due to cows on the line. "We're working with the local farmer to help move the cows off the railway. We'll provide a further update as soon as we have more information." Replacement buses are running, while National Rail has reported disruption between Carlisle and Dumfries is expected until 1.30 pm.
