Townsfolk hailed after fall

AN elderly couple have expressed their gratitude to the people of Moffat, after residents came to their aid during a recent visit.

Margaret and Roy Hope were visiting the town as part of coach party last Friday, when Roy took a bad fall on the High Street.

Immediately on-lookers came to their aid.

Recalling the experience Margaret said: “The help that we got was wonderful, from the young men who stopped traffic and got a medical kit for us. To the lovely young woman that bandaged a bed head wound and took us to the medical centre were the doctor dressed it.

“And the two young men that went to find out coach driver to inform him of our situation and the taxi driver who took us back to the coach.

“In a world where it seems only bad things happen, hats off to the residents of Moffat, you were marvellous!”
