Museum's evening event

AN event will take place this evening showcasing the future plans for Moffat Museum.

The museum’s trustees are inviting their volunteers and members of the public to join them at UAPC Hall at 7 pm when there will be information about the museum and some discussion about the future.

A spokesperson said: “Many people are aware that the museum has purchased the adjoining property, it is now beginning to plan how it might best be used to enhance what the museum already provides.”

There will also be a presentation from Dr Jan Hogarth on ‘Rediscovering Auld Wamphray’.

Jan, who grew up in Wamphray, will talk about the history of this fascinating place and explore ideas for the development of Wamphray Church and its surrounding landscapes.

Refreshments will be provided after the presentation.

Admission is free but donations for ‘Friends of Wamphray Church’ will be welcome.
