Site welcomes charity visit

The event, held as part of Chapelcross’ ongoing commitment to staff wellbeing, saw an impressive turnout with over 80 members of staff in attendance.

Andy’s Man Club is an organisation dedicated to promoting men’s mental health. The team delivered an engaging and insightful presentation, highlighting the importance of good mental health and providing valuable resources and support for those in need.

It was an upbeat and interactive session but also focussed on the importance of fostering an open and supportive environment for discussing mental health challenges.

This event is part of Chapelcross’ broader initiative to support the mental and physical health of its workforce.

Speaking about the event, site director Richard Murray said: “By hosting regular wellbeing activities and providing access to mental health resources, Chapelcross aims to create a supportive and healthy work environment for all our employees.

“I’m really pleased that so many of our staff came along to the session with Andy’s Man Club.

“We have a predominantly male workforce here at Chapelcross, so the turnout highlights how important the issue of men’s mental health is. “Sessions like this will help to remove the stigma around asking for help and raising awareness of the issues so that we can support each other.”
