REHEARSALS are gathering momentum and excitement is rising on the stage of Annan Academy as young performers prepare to present the classic musical Oliver! Show director and drama teacher David McCracken said: "The last few weeks before any show are always really hard work with so much to be done. "With costumes arriving yesterday and the props and scenery coming on Monday it all gets very real as we get ready for the last big push to get our performance polished for the audiences." The show runs from Tuesday, June 17, to Friday at 7.30 pm in the Assembly Hall. Tickets, priced £8 for Adults and £5 for Schoolchildren, are available from the school office as well as at the door. So, in the words of the opening song, is it worth the waiting for? Annan Academy certainly hopes it will be Glorious, Marvellous and Fabulous. Pictured is Edward Pickles who plays the starring role of Oliver.
