Seven taken to hospital after A74(M) crash near Gretna

SEVEN people were taken to Cumberland Infirmary following a single vehicle crash on the A74(M) near Gretna yesterday afternoon.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “At around 1.45 pm on Thursday, May 1, police were made aware of a single vehicle crash near to the slip road at Gretna Service Station off the A74 (M).

“There were seven people in the vehicle, two adults and five children.  All have been conveyed to hospital in Carlisle.

“Enquiries into the cause of the crash are continuing.”
