Roadworks to stay for next few weeks

DELAYS are set to continue at the top of Scott’s Street, Annan, as workers continue to excavate and install ducting for a new 300 3c HV cable. Traffic lights have been in operation since the start of the week. And work will continue for the next few weeks. A spokesperson for SP Energy Networks said: “We’re upgrading the existing cables to futureproof the network and ensure the continued resilience and reliability of supply. “We always work to minimise disruption, and we expect the work on Scott Street to take up to six weeks. We thank the local community for their patience.”
