EXTRA high visibility police patrols took place in Dumfries and Annan over the weekend. The aim was to address anti-social behaviour following an increase in incidents of youth disorder in the two towns. A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We are working closely with partners to tackle this and support our communities. “Positive engagement with young people is a key component to tackling anti-social behaviour and supporting young people to make good choices.” If anyone observes anti-social behaviour or criminality, contact Police Scotland via 101 or in an emergency dial 999. Information can also be passed anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
