MOFFAT poet Robyn Little has published her first book, with copies now available in the town’s book shop.
Entitled ‘Nostalgia’, the 26-year-old described it as years of observations and memories pencilled in abstractly discussing bitterness, observation, and appreciating the little things.
Robyn picked up her pen to try poetry in a bid to distract herself after receiving a surprise health diagnosis.
Explaining, she said: “After months of unexplained pains, I was diagnosed with a gallbladder condition and forced to give everything up while I was sick for an operation that is still yet to come. As a distraction and having wanted to be a writer since I was six years old, I took some old poems, wrote a few new ones and compiled them together into a poetry book: Nostalgia.
“Soon after, I convinced Bookleaf Publishing to publish my work, which they did so early last year, but my health kept me from doing much to cultivate the news. Just a few weeks ago, I proudly gave copies to our very own Moffat Bookshop, which made me feel, at long last, like a published author.”
