On a roll!

Dumfriesshire bakery TA Francis and Sons is celebrating success after being recognised at the Scottish Baker of the Year Awards 2026.

With more than 500 products entered by over 60 bakeries from across Scotland, this year’s competition showcased an exceptional standard of talent and craftsmanship.

The winners were announced at a ceremony in Glasgow on Saturday, where TA Francis and Sons, which has branches in Dumfries and Annan, took home several accolades: three golds for their chia bread, jam and cream finger and cherry oven scone; as well as three silvers recognising their ‘dough-licious’ multi-seed bread, multi-seed rolls and fruit oven scone.
