Motorway closed in both directions at Gretna after collision

THE A74 (M) is closed north and southbound at the border with Cumbria following a serious collision involving a HGV around 6.40 am this morning. The M6 northbound is closed from J44, Carlisle, to J45, Gretna Green, while the A74(M) southbound is shut from J22, Gretna Green, to M6 J45, Gretna Green.
Motorists are advised to take alternative routes as the road may be closed for some time.
