Money stolen in daylight raid

OVER £500 in cash was stolen from an Annan house in a daylight raid this week.

Police are investigating the break-in to the property in Drummond Road, which happened sometime between 11.30 am and 12.30 pm on Wednesday.

Constable Andy Aitken, of Annan Police, said: “This was a break-in to a residential property in broad daylight and we want to hear from anyone who was in the Drummond Road area between 11.30 am and 12.30 pm to get in touch through 101 if they saw anything suspicious.

“Drummond Road is a busy street and we are hopeful that someone has seen something which might help us catch those responsible.”
