Election 2021: Power restored at region’s vote count

POWER has been restored following an outage at the Dumfries and Galloway vote count. The main hall at DG1 in Dumfries was without light for around an hour. Counting has now resumed and the Dumfriesshire result is expected to come in later on today. Sources say the race between the SNP's Joan McAlpine and the Conservatives' Oliver Mundell is expected to be very close.
