Lights in a fix

REPAIRS are being attempted to get the Christmas lights in Moffat working again.

Moffat Promotions Group said: "We are aware the High Street lights aren't on, believe us, we are as disappointed as you are. Please bear with us while we try to fix them. "Please also keep in mind that Moffat Christmas Lights are managed entirely by volunteers who have other demands on their time. We thought the issue had been rectified, a few of our volunteers having spent a considerable amount of time in the months leading up to Christmas Festival replacing cables and festoons and doing their best to weatherproof everything. However it would seem there is a fault elsewhere that we are struggling to identify.

"Further investigation can't take place until this spell of heavy rain passes. Rest assured our dedicated lighting team, and we do mean dedicated, are working on it."
