Joe in 2nd Xmas charity run

A LONGTOWN firefighter has completed a cross border challenge, raising over £11,000 for a Christmas appeal. Joe Kirkup once again ran 5k every five hours from the early hours of last Saturday to late on the Sunday, and cycled a total of 132km too. He was joined for part of the way by some of the crew from Langholm Fire Station, who have congratulated him on his efforts - pictured above. All monies raised by Joe will go to buy Christmas presents for children in the border area living in poverty.
