Evening buses back on

STAGECOACH has resumed evening services to Annan Butts Street bus station following constructive discussions with police. The bus operator had stopped serving the town’s main bus stop with its evening services to Dumfries and Carlisle last month following vandalism to its vehicles. Speaking at the time, Police Scotland chief inspector for Dumfriesshire Duncan Cameron said: “We are committed to reducing antisocial behaviour and we work collaboratively with a range of local partners to reduce, prevent and address such behaviour. When necessary, the appropriate action will be taken when incidents are reported and offenders are identified. “We rely on information from the public and I’d urge anyone who witnesses antisocial behaviour or vandalism or has any information about it, to contact us.”
