Enquiries ongoing after three dogs found dead inside home

THREE dogs were found dead inside a home within the region this week and Police Scotland say they enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances. It comes after officers received a report of concern for the dogs at a property on Muirbeck Road, Newbie, on Wednesday night. Constables attended the scene and all three dogs were found deceased. A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 7.40pm on Wednesday, 29 April, 2026, we received a report of concern for three dogs at a property on Muirbeck Road in Newbie, Annan. “Officers attended, and all three dogs were found deceased. “Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances.” Pictures of the dogs have been circulating on social media today.
