Election 2021: Vote count gets underway in Dumfries

VERIFICATION is complete and ballot counting has begun for the Dumfriesshire constituency. A deceleration is now not expected until tonight. And the result for Galloway and West Dumfries will not be announced until tomorrow. Eyes across the country will be on Dumfriesshire, where the SNPs Joan McAlpine needs to swing the 2016 result by just 1.7% to gain the constituency from Oliver Mundell.
