Covid death rate

There has been 134 deaths from coronavirus locally since March 2020. Of those, 55 have occurred so far this year - all in January. In week one of the year there were four fatalities; rising to 20 in week two; then 19; and the week commencing January 25 there were 12 recorded in the region. The statistics were released yesterday by National Records of Scotland.
