STAFF at The Commercial Inn, Annan, and regular Edith Carlyle, front centre, raise a glass as the pub celebrates ten years since reopening. Landlord John Steel, front left, said: “It’s hard to believe that it’s been ten years. “During lockdown we did quizzes, like putting baby photos of regulars on and guessing who it is and going live on a Saturday night with my daughter Georgia. “We survived because of our tremendous regulars that supported us, even when we couldn’t play music and because of the great staff we have. “With Cody Harding we did a clap for carers and visited local care homes. “Our bus trips have also taken us to a lot of new places for a day out, again, I thank everyone for their support. “In the picture is most of the Commercial team, with one of our regulars karaoke singers that’s followed us from the beginning front and centre. “Edith Carlyle, affectionately known in the Commie as ‘Lady Carlyle’ sill sings on the karaoke aged nearly 90.” Thanks are expressed to all customers and staff.
