WARNINGS are in place for heavy rain and high winds across the region from this evening.

The Met Office has issued two yellow warning as strong winds blow in and are expected to cause travel disruption.

Persistent heavy rain will fall throughout this evening and continue to tomorrow afternoon. Advice has been issued for people travelling as bus and train services may be affected.

Roads are expected to experience surface water and there is a small chance of flooding to homes and businesses.
