THE Royal Burgh of Annan Pipe Band have said that they ‘hear’ and ‘understand’ the frustrations caused by their decision to have limited participation in this year’s Annan Riding of the Marches.

Last week the award winning Grade Two band said they would not be taking part in the parade or massed bands spectacle at night, but they would still take part in the competition during the day.

The decision was met with criticism from the people of Annan.

AROM organisers said they were seeking alternative arrangements.

The band have since said they will take all comments into consideration. However, it is unclear if they are planning to change their mind.
