Annan Christmas lights shine brighter thanks to NRS support
ANNAN'S High Street will sparkle even more this festive season thanks to a £2000 donation from Nuclear Restoration Services (NRS) (Chapelcross) to the Annan Christmas Lights Committee. The committee applied to NRS’s socio-economic fund to help cover rising costs of maintaining and enhancing the town’s Christmas lights, including replacing bulbs and upgrading displays. The funding ensures that the much-loved festive decorations continue to help brighten up the town, bringing a sense of vibrancy. This investment helps to ensure that Annan high street looks the part during the festive season. Site director Richard Murray recently met with members of the committee to present the cheque. He said: “We’re delighted to support this application. The committee works tirelessly to make the High Street look fantastic at this time of year, and their efforts really make a difference to the local community. Through our socio-economic fund, we’re proud to give something back to organisations on our doorstep.” The committee has been delighted by the support received from businesses in and around the town.
