MOFFAT put on a show in their last home match of the West Division Three season at the Holm last Saturday as they claimed a terrific 89-14 victory over Hyndland.
The Rams started strong in the first half taking the lead, with Hyndland not managing to break through the Rams defence.
The second saw Hyndland push back, but the Rams stayed strong with more tries and conversions hitting the mark and they took the win in the last game of the season, 89 to 14.
Huge thanks are expressed to everyone who has come along and supported the boys over the home season, to the club and player sponsors and all the volunteers behind the scenes.
Two fixtures remain for the club, starting this Saturday with a journey up to Lochaber, before a trip to Glasgow University Medics on Saturday May 10.
Although their position is confirmed as fifth in the seven team league, the Rams will be aiming to finish on a high.
Meanwhile on Sunday, the primary section of the club were in action at Stewartry’s annual festival. The P2 and P3 teams ran out winners in their sections.
This month the Rams host the junior tournament on May 11 and then the club’s highly anticipated Moffat 10s on July 26.
The Annual AGM also takes place on May 28 at 7 pm in the Proudfoot Indoor Sports and Social Club.
All parents, players, coaches, volunteers, sponsors and supporters are invited to attend to hear about the 2024/25 season and the plans for 2025/26.
