Payment due for households

A QUARTER of the area’s households are in line for a £299 payment this month.

About 19,300 households across Dumfries and Galloway can expect to receive the cost-of-living payment by February 22.

To be eligible, they need to be in receipt of benefits including Universal Credit, Pension Credit, or Jobseekers Allowance and Income Support. It will be paid automatically

UK Government minister for Scotland, John Lamont, said: “This crucial cost-of-living payment will benefit more than 680,000 people across Scotland.”
