Windsurfers heading back to loch

THE Scottish Fin and Foil Windsurfing Championships are to return to Loch Ryan this summer.

The event will take place from August 10-11 and will see windsurfers from across the UK and beyond travel to Wigtownshire.

Last year’s event attracted 50 competitors and was hosted by the Stranraer Watersports Association with the help of volunteers who assisted in the running of the event.

Scottish Fin and Foil are delighted to be be returning to Stranraer, with a spokesperson stating: “After the success of our inaugural event in 2023 and in response to so some great feedback, we are looking forward to delivering another awesome event in Stranraer.”

A spokesperson from UK Windsurfing added: “We are looking forward to it and delighted to have an event in Scotland this year.”
