A DOMESTIC abuse disclosure law set to be rolled out across Scotland has been welcomed locally.

Police Scotland’s Disclosure Scheme for Domestic Abuse in Scotland, also known as Clare’s Law, is a scheme which allows people to contact the police and request information on their partner’s background if they suspect them of a history of domestic abuse and will be rolled out across the country later this year.
SNP MSP for the South of Scotland Aileen McLeod this week welcomed the news and the £20million investment by the Scottish Government to tackle violence against women over the next three years.
