COVID has been involved in the deaths of 95 people in Dumfries and Galloway so far this year.

And the last deaths recorded were two in the week of August 22.

The worst weeks locally for deaths related to coronavirus were July 25 when eight people passed away and March 28 when there were seven fatalities.

The figures were released yesterday by National Records of Scotland, in a report entitled ‘Death registrations involving Covid-19”.
