Debut prizegiving for ladies' team

SOLWAY Sharks Ladies held their first ever prize night with all players receiving a medal to mark their inaugural season as a team.

And there were gongs for Mo Muir as top goal scorer and joint top points scorer; Amanda Murdoch as top playmaker and joint top point scorer; best forward was Karen Craig; best defender was Andrea Vyrostekova; coaches’ merit went to Michelle Howie; young player was given to Becca Nicol; Sarah Gibson was named most valuable player; and the players’ player crown went to Amanda Murdoch.
Team spokeswoman Mo Muir said: “That’s our first season over and what a great season we have had. We would like to thank all our family, friends and supporters for all the support everyone have shown us.
“We are looking forward to our second season.”
