Galloway Cup debut

TEAMS from around Scotland will descend on Dumfries on Saturday for the inaugural Galloway Cup.

It will be hosted by the Solway Juniors squad at the ice bowl and will feature ice hockey sides from Ayr, Kilmarnock, Edinburgh, Lanarkshire and North Ayrshire.
Team manager Justine McCuaig said: “It’s an exciting climax to the season for the boys, who have all worked hard all season and really developed as a team. We look forward to some fast and furious hockey,  and win lose or draw the players will be giving their all and having fun.”
The tournament at the ice bowl starts at 8 am and is open to spectators
