Grierson & Graham Honda, based on Annan Road, has won Outstanding Family Business of the Year from the Dumfries and Galloway Chamber of Commerce.
The firm – which started as a bicycle repair business over 100 years ago – was recognised for its contributions to the community. This included their sponsorship of local curling, rugby and bowling teams in the Dumfries area, as well as sponsoring a tree in Dock Park, in association with Calside Primary School.
One competition judge from Dumfries and Galloway Chamber of Commerce stated: “You couldn’t get a better example of a true family business. Grierson & Graham have put the customer first for over a century, that’s why generations of customers keep coming back.
“Never standing still or settling, it’s a true reflection of a family business that always wants to plan for the future; as has been demonstrated with their new-build showroom and plans for staff development.”
