M74 crash

A VEHICLE went on fire following a crash on the A74 (M) near Lockerbie on Wednesday afternoon.

The collision happened at about 3.30 pm near junction 18. It is believed there were no casualties.

There was debris on the road and emergency services rushed to the scene.

It was the second crash on the motorway near Lockerbie this week, after an incident on Monday afternoon when a lorry was in a collision and ruptured its fuel tank and hundreds of litres were spilled on the roadway.
