Nine vehicles vandalised

VANDALS targeted nine vehicles in Stranraer at the weekend.

The eight cars and a van were damaged overnight last Friday to Saturday in various parts of the town.
A total of 15 tyres were damaged and some cars received damage to the body work. Early estimates indicate that the damage will run into many hundreds of pounds.
The cars were parked in Glebe Street, King George Close, Hillside Drive, Lady Stewart Lane, London Road, Springfield Crescent, Sun Street and Ochtralure Way at the time.
Police Scotland are investigating and Constable Jackson Service said: “We are presently conducting door to door enquiries in the streets affected in the hope that someone has seen something.
“This is a horrific case of wanton vandalism which will cost a lot of people a lot of money and associated inconvenience and we are keen to hear from anyone who can help us catch those responsible.”
