Energy park plans revealed

AN energy developer has revealed plans for a new energy park between Eastriggs and Gretna.

The proposed West Scales development includes up to four wind turbines, alongside bi-facial solar photovoltaic (PV) panels spanning up to 44 hectares. The project may also feature a battery energy storage system.

In addition, the project would deliver a community benefit fund of £5000 per installed MW of wind power each year.
