Woman hurt in collision with quad bike

A WOMAN was taken to hospital in Dumfries with serious injuries after she was in a collision with a quad bike at Kirkbean. The 65-year-old was a pedestrian and the incident happened on the U205n, Arbigland road, near Kirkbean Village Hall at about 9.30 am yesterday. The male rider of the red Honda TRV quad bike was not injured. Police are investigating and have appealed for witnesses. Constable Callum Kingstree said: “Enquiries remain ongoing to establish the full circumstances and I’m appealing for anyone who saw what happened to come forward. “I’d also ask drivers with dash-cam footage from the area at the time to review this and bring anything of significance to our attention.” Anyone with information is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101 quoting incident 0804 of Wednesday, 25 February, 2026.
