Woman assaulted in woods

OFFICERS are appealing for information following a report of a woman assaulted in Dalbeattie Woods last week. Around 11.35 am on Wednesday August 6, a 51-year-old woman was walking a dog, when a man ran at her and pushed her to the ground. She did not require medical treatment and the man continued running. He was wearing black clothing which included a hooded top and a snood. Inspector Lyndsey Nicolson said: “Enquiries are ongoing to establish the exact circumstances surrounding this incident and to trace the man involved. “If you were in the area of Dalbeattie woods on Wednesday morning, or have any information that may assist us, please contact 101 quoting incident number 1192 of 6 August.”
