VIP visitor

THE George Cross medal which was awarded to everybody in NHS Scotland by the Queen in 2022 has visited the region. It went on show at Mountainhall Treatment Centre and at Dumfries and Galloway Royal Infirmary last Wednesday. Director of nursing Mark Kelly, pictured with the George Cross, said: “This was awarded to all NHS staff as a tribute to the courage, compassion and dedication shown throughout the pandemic — a lasting reminder of the wonderful care, compassion and selflessness demonstrated by colleagues across NHS Dumfries and Galloway.”
