Unsafe load

POLICE in the region have shared this photo of a van they stopped on the motorway last week, after a member of the public phoned in with concerns about the safety of the load. A force spokesperson said: "The driver failed to comprehend the potential danger to other road users by only using sticky tape to secure his load of furniture due to the roller door not functioning. "The vehicle was escorted off the motorway, prohibited from moving until the load was secured appropriately and the driver issued with a fixed penalty ticket."
