Train delays - latest
HEAVY rain is affecting rail services on the West Coast Mainline this afternoon.

And passengers are being warned of delays until this evening.

The railway between Lockerbie and Carlisle is affected by flooding, meaning trains have to run at reduced speed between these stations. As a result, trains may be delayed by up to 20 minutes.

This is expected until 6 pm and affects Avanti West Coast services between Edinburgh / Glasgow Central and London Euston, as well as TransPennine Express between Edinburgh / Glasgow Central and Manchester Airport, and also between Glasgow Central and Liverpool Lime Street
