The show opens its gates at 10 am and closes at 4 pm.
Police have warned that the town is likely to become congested very quickly and they will be directing the vast majority of traffic leaving the site towards the Dumfries bypass.
Irresponsible parking on surrounding streets also causes problems for traffic flow, local residents and pedestrians and police have asked people to please park in accordance with the law.
