Three hurt in A75 accident

THREE elderly women were injured in a collision between a car and a lorry on the A75 in Wigtownshire on Thursday afternoon.

They were travelling in a Vauxhall Corsa which was involved in an accident with a Daf lorry.

Firefighters were called to the scene to help free the women from the vehicle.

All three, who were in their eighties and from Stranraer, were taken to Galloway Community Hospital.

The driver was treated in hospital for neck and back injuries and the two passengers suffered cuts and bruises.

The lorry driver, from Newton Stewart, was uninjured.
