Teen earns dancing scholarship
DUMFRIES teenager Samantha Spellacy has won a scholarship to Razzmatazz. The 16-year-old is the first winner in the region of the newly launched Razzamataz Scholarships, awarding free performing arts tuition to talented children and young people. The scholarship programme offers a full year of free tuition at Razzamataz Dumfries valued at up to £900, giving young people the chance to experience the transformative power of the performing arts completely free of charge. Samantha impressed a diverse and experienced panel of judges with her raw talent, enthusiasm, and determination. These judges – made up of performing arts professionals – were unanimous in their praise for the creativity and passion shown by students of all ages, highlighting the exceptional promise within the area.
