Storm damage
DOZENS of incidents were reported across Dumfries and Galloway overnight as a result of the high winds associated with Storm Bram. Trees were blown down in several locations, including on the A701; Dalbeattie Road, Dumfries; on the Old Military Road near Castle Douglas; between Ecclefechan and Middlebie; between Shawhead and Routin Bridge; and the Lockerbie to Langholm road was impassable at Wauchope School House due to a tree down. External Xmas decorations on an Annan town centre business were blown over and damaged, while the community's Christmas tree ended up on an angle - above. Lots of debris was reported on the A75 between Annan and Gretna; as well as flooding of Bankend Road, Dumfries. The M74 in South Lanarkshire was blocked by several overturned HGVs and the disruption affected Dumfriesshire.
